Advanced ERC Grant on Firms and their Networks

Francis Kramarz, professor at the Center for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST) in Paris and Visiting Professor at the Department of Economics in Uppsala, has received a prestigious Advanced Research Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) for a project on firms and their networks.

The FIRMNET project will investigate how social and business networks affect companies’ resilience and sensitivity to adverse economic shocks. The research strives to provide important insights about labour economics, international trade, econometrics and management. It involves joint efforts by researchers at CREST and at Uppsala University where key parts of the project’s empirical work will be executed.  ERC funds the project with € 1.75 million for 5 years.
