The Department of Economics
Each year about 1,000 students participate in our courses on undergraduate (BA), graduate (MA) and doctoral level. Researchers at the department are frequently engaged as experts by the government and by the media, and interact with the society at large in a number of ways.
The department is managed by the Head of Department and the board of the department. The board decides on guidelines for the department's activities, monitors that these guidelines are followed and decides on matters submitted to the board. The Head of Department, the Deputy Head of Department and the directors of studies are responsible for the direct management of the department’s activities and that the board’s decisions are implemented.
